'Waves in Kashmir" is neither a piece of fiction nor a sermon on the political and security related developments in Kashmir nor reflects the glory and serenity of the ripples on the lakes of Dal and Nigin but it is the story of the predilections of the displaced people from the Kashmir valley following the rise of Pakistan sponsored insurgency in 1990.
It deals with the ebb and flow of memories, experiences and incidents in the minds of those displaced people who pined in plains longing to be back to the verdent valleys and snow - covered mountain slopes.
